Yesterday, I ran intervals with the new crew and it was a great recovery run for me. My Garmin said 52 hours of recovery from my run with my sister so I was still in that window yesterday. Today, I had to take the day off to tend to some business in the town where my boys are living so I had a leisurely morning run. Since my husband isn’t able to watch our youngest in the mornings this school year, my only opportunity to run is after school. This morning felt like a gift. I was able to run 3 miles before it got too hot and didn’t need to rush around getting ready for the school day afterward. I stopped and did pull-ups and dips at the local elementary school play ground. When I got home, I did a one minute plank and then balanced for a minute on each leg in honor of our cross country kids. It was a great workout overall!
