Yesterday I ran an easy mile. I went to a local park with my husband and youngest son. We played at the playground, played ball, and then he rode his bike on the trails while my husband and I jogged. It’s this quaint little trail through a little forest that ends at another park on the other side of the forest. The only drawback to the whole adventure was that the restrooms were all locked. Even the port-o-potties were locked. I didn’t even realize that was possible. I was almost impressed! I decided to jump off the trail into the forest a bit about 3 minutes before a large group of families wandered down the path. I actually ran into my little sister, her husband, and my niece. It was a tinker-garden class, which was a super adorable idea. I’m just glad I was done ducking behind a bush! The run was relaxing and enjoyable, which was everything I needed it to be yesterday. I feel much better today and I joined our new girls on their workout today and paced them. It wasn’t super challenging but resulted in 3.5 miles total so I’m pretty happy with that.
