Yesterday morning I ran one mile to make sure my foot was getting plenty of time to heal but my resting heart rate indicated that I was ready for a hard workout so I did my scheduled upper body workout. It went well. It was hard but I didn’t feel like I overextended myself, which was great. My daughter said she wanted to run in the evening so I joined her for a mile. I tried to assess if my injury was causing any change to my gait but every time I focus on my gait, it feels strange. I decided to just enjoy my run with my daughter. I woke up this morning pain free. I walked a half mile to get my body moving and then ran 2.5. It was hot and humid but a good run otherwise.
