I really wanted to do my long run yesterday. I treasure my 7 mile treks out into the country. However, when I woke up, my resting heart rate was much higher than my normal. I was bummed but knew something was up and I shouldn’t push it. I ran a slow 3 miles instead. I really listened to my body and enjoyed the shorter run more than I expected. It was sunny and warm-ish. I really felt great after the run, which wouldn’t have likely been the case if I had pushed it for my full 7. I got up early today and did some stretches. My heart rate is back in it’s normal range. It’s going to be a good day!
