I really, really, really don’t enjoy cold weather. However, I really do enjoy the beauty of snow. Yes, I know that doesn’t really make sense but I do feel like the snow makes the cold more endurable. We got our first measurable snow in central Illinois today and it made for a beautiful run. I initially set out with my husband running with me and our youngest on his bike but he crashed in the first 30 feet! He bruised his hip, shed a few tears, but said he still wanted to go. We got out the jogging stroller and tried again. We made it to the cemetery without further incident. Once there, we let the little pumpkin out of the stroller to run with us. We stopped for an impromptu snow ball fight and to pay our respects for my old math teacher’s wife. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a beautiful way to enjoy a two mile jog.
