My daughter and I ran the Furrow Euro just outside of El Paso, Illinois this morning. Last year we ran this race in about 4 inches of snow but this year we were only facing relentless wind gusts and below freezing wind chills. There were 4 creek crossings total and the highest water was just above the knee. The wind really felt cold after that one! We had a great time and we always enjoy the soup after the race. I didn’t run my fastest 3 mile time but I decided halfway through that today’s victory would be in finishing the race. I will count today a victory!
