Gastrointestinal distress

Running every day for so long has taught me a lot about my digestive system.  Some days teach me more than others.  Today was one of those days.  Luckily I was only planning on running a mile, although, I still had to make a pit stop before I could even finish that mile.  Sigh.  I don’t think my mama actually said that there would be days like this.  In other news, that little tumble my sister took on the trail last weekend resulted in an avulsion fracture of her cuboid bone in her foot.  Huge bummer!  Apparently my sisters should not be taken seriously when they say, “I’m fine!” since my other sister is currently in a cast after a dog walking incident went awry.  Ironically, I was telling my older sister the story of my younger sister’s thumb injury and how she told her neighbor “I’m fine!” but then proceeded to round the corner and call her husband to come pick her up.  As I was telling that story, my older sister tumbled and promptly said, “I’m fine!”, which I had a hard time believing.  I was apparently correct in my assessment.  As my mom would actually say, “We’re lucky!”
